Pete & Spike Visit to Grays Farm Primary School

Crystal Palace FC’s mascot Pete the Eagle made a flying visit to Grays Farm Primary School in Orpington to meet with Spike, the Bromley schools attendance mascot. The CPFC Foundation has been running a lateness programme to help pupils turn up for school on time. Spike has proved hugely popular amongst the children. The character attends Bromley schools for assemblies and meets children in the playground as they arrive for school in good time. As a reward, Pete the Eagle turned up at the school to give out some ’Palace’ goodies to the children who showed dedication throughout the programme and made every effort to show up for school on time. All of the children were enthusiastic to have their photograph taken with Pete and were very excited by his surprise visit to the playground!

For your chance for Pete the Eagle to fly into your school!!!
Other primary schools who have taken part in the lateness programme are Leesons, James Dixon and Royston.

Leesons Primary family worker Daniel Cryer stated “The programme was a fantastic success, the rate of unauthorised absences dropped significantly and the coaching has paid off no end. We would welcome the Crystal Palace Foundation back with open arms to work together some more”.

If you have signed up to our schools partnership programme then you too can have a visit from our very own Crystal Palace Mascot. Pete can come to your assembly or even turn up in your playground to pose for photos! The schools partnership programme is free to join so the sooner you become a part of it the sooner you can enjoy all of its advantages.

If your school already works with the CPFC Foundation and you would like a visit from Pete then please contact Colin Morris at 0208 768 6047.
