Head Coach of Team GB Cerebral Palsy Team helps inspires foundation coaches for the future

Team GB Cerebral Palsy Paralympic Head Coach, Lyndon Lynch, delivered a Special Needs Talent Identification Workshop for Crystal Palace FC Foundation. This workshop was aimed at putting our coaches at the forefront of identifying the talent and supporting the development of children and young people with physical and learning disabilities. There’s a staggering 90,000, who live in the London with a disability and the session was about how coaches working on the ground can help them fulfil their potential, so that they can play and enjoy football to the highest levels possible. The background to this is England’s Cerebral Palsy Team being gold medal finalists in the 2012 Paralympic world cup.

Michael Harrington, disability lead commented. ‘It was great that Lyndon was able to take time out of his busy schedule to be with us. Using football and the brand of Crystal Palace FC foundation to inspire children is what drives the foundation. We’ll be using what we learnt today to develop a much sharper focus on making sure children and young people with disabilities, being learning, physical or sensory, get the opportunities they deserve.’
