Representing a professional football club means that Crystal Palace F.C. Foundation is well placed to promote sports participation and physical activity, and a broader healthy lifestyles message, to its fan base and its wider community. Such initiatives are also a key part of national and regional health strategies, Sport England priorities and Olympic Legacy programming.
Our health agenda is important to us from ‘cradle to grave’ and we currently run pioneering programmes that target young children in education right the way through to projects that inspire older men in their 40’s to be health aware.
For example; over the passed two years the Foundation have delivered an extensive programme of sport and physical activity for young pupils in Sutton primary schools. Entitled, Healthy Lifestyles, this project is the first of its kind under the Palace badge, and has engaged over 3,000 young people.
In 2016 the Foundation will be reviving some projects from years gone by, look out for announcements via Twitter: @CPFC_Foundation
