Football is at the heart of everything we do at Palace for Life Foundation – it is the national game, it provides inspiration, motivation and passion for all involved in it.
We also represent Crystal Palace Football Club in the community – a club with a proud tradition of developing local footballing talent, inspiring dedication, achievement and loyalty. These ethics are what we hope to instil in the people we work with, particularly among our younger participants.
Our community presence combines many aspects of growing and developing the game; programmes tailored towards women and girls participation, catered sessions for disability groups, grassroots links with local clubs (including Crystal Palace Ladies) and holiday programmes and advanced centres that encourage beginners as well as nourish future talent.
The Foundation works closely with local community clubs, Surrey and London Football Associations, local authority development officers and national footballing bodies to improve and expand the grassroots game in South London and beyond. Our pool of sessional coaches has grown to over 50, including coaches who have received their badges and qualifications through Foundation programmes, as we continue to develop a wider infrastructure for young aspiring coaches.
